NEWS: Craig Mathias describes conflict, competition between WLAN and 3G

In his May 20, 2002 EE Times opinion column, Radio Days, Craig Mathias, an analyst with Farpoint Group, defines the growing pressure of high bandwidth WLAN offerings on the markets served by third-generation cellular.

In the Sunday workshop, entitled Next Generation Wireless LAN Systems, Craig will moderate the presentations and discussion related to the Wireless LAN perspective.  Presenters will provide views from standards developers, designers, architects, marketing, and university R&D participants.

After hearing related comments from our keynote speaker, and 3G presentations from the technical sessions on Monday,  you are invited to attend the Tuesday evening panel, entitled WLAN and 3G Services: Convergence or Coexistence? to plot the course, and decide the outcome of the WLAN-3G competition.
