Abstract:

The goal of this Workshop is to foster international research collaborations among theoretical, computational, and applied investigators in corporate, government, and academic research labs that will provide a basis for prioritizing future research efforts in broadband multi-carrier modulation networks. Key objectives are:

  • Establishing well documented theoretical and experimental challenges in 3GPP Long Term Evolution (LTE) cellular network development and deployment
  • Identifying key breakthroughs and specifications for continued capacity improvements in 3GPP LTE Advanced cellular systems

Leading experts from both industry and academia will provide invited guest talks on diverse areas related to 3GPP-LTE network architectures, air interfaces, optimizing MIMO capability in 3GPP-LTE, and next generation 3GPP LTE Advanced cellular networks. Our key note speaker will be Dr. Andrea Goldsmith, Professor of Electrical Engineering at Stanford University. Dr. Goldsmith is a Fellow of IEEE, author of Wireless Communications by Cambridge University Press, and Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder of Quantenna Communications.
